Hi so I am currently running ubuntu on my PC and like it so much I want it on my new phone it is a G'zone Commander (1.5ghz processor 1gb of ram) how would I go about getting linux on the phone ? Where can I get a version to use on my phone it isn't the same version people use for their desktops is it ? Also how do I go about installing ubuntu on my phone I have heard that there are different ways to install it if my phone is rooted or unrooted (whatever that means)I don't have to partion the hard drive like a true dual boot do I ? So many questions on the actual process of the installation thanks to anyone who can help ! Jack

how do I download Skype???

:huh: I have a netbook with Linux but it doesn't have a Skype icone like my other netbok withLinux. I tried to download it but I have two problems. 1) I don't know wich version or whatever it's called I have: ubuntu...??? and I can't find any info about this on my computer!? 2) Which ever one of the versions I try to download it seems to be downloading but then ends up being just a window full of text!? I don't know what to do... Please help me somebody if it's possible to explaing how I ca get Skype. I use it everyday to cll my grandma in Sweden and right now she's very sad that I can't call her... //Linda

Centos 6 Where Can I Get a Download?

Hello, I am looking into trying Centos 6 but when I attempt to find the correct version I need, I am overwhelmed at which one to select. I come across whole listings of links and don't know which one. I downloaded one iso and installed it in VB, but I didn't do it right according to the videos I"ve watched. A few steps are left out. Can someone provide a link to the correct site. I"m don't know which one to select. Thank you.

simple question regarding download of debian 7 wheezy

do i heard that debian wheezy was released, and decided to give it a try but when i go to the downloads page to download dvd, i can see 3 dvd's for download are all these dvd's required? cause i was just trying to download a live cd from here, but they all are 6.0.7 not 7.0 Kinda curious, what are those big dvd's for.............and where should i download 7.0 from

Problem opening iTunes download with Wine with Ubuntu

Hello All, I've run into some problems while trying to install iTunes onto my system (Ubuntu 10.10) using Wine. I've installed Wine and configured everything properly, and then I download iTunes. I've tried downloading several versions, including 7.2 (older version) and the newest version (iTunes 10). [SOLVED] How do I download the KDE desktop (Kubuntu) when I already have Ubuntu v.1210?

I would have dowloaded Kubuntu directly via wubi, but it wouldn't work. I read somewhere that you can download the KDE environment on Ubuntu anyway, so I went ahead and downloaded Ubuntu again. Where do I go to download the environment? I checked the Ubuntu Software Center and I tried using a search engine, yet I come across no relevant results. Could somebody please give me a push in the right direction?

Wubi Ubuntu install from download problem Install files not found

Hello - I am trying to install Ubuntu on my Toshiba Satellite 5205-S703 laptop with WinXP Home. The CD/DVD drive no longer works so I have to use the download installer. In fact, I hope to install Ubuntu to help me determine whether the CD/DVD problems are hardware or software related. The computer has no provision to boot from USB either. The download went fine, but as soon as installation started this error message popped up: "An error occured. Could not retrieve the required files. For more information, please see the log file: c:\docume~1\toshiba\locals~1\temp\wubi-10.04.1-rev190.log". I looked at the log and its contents are way above my pay grade. I can post it if that would help. Thanks!
